先週、まずは、第１回目のサーフェイサー塗装が終わりました。今回はディテールを彫るところまで進めています。 First of all, the 1st surfacer paint finished last week. It is advancing till the place which carves a detail this time.
やはり、こうしてみると10数カ所に凹みなどがありました。全てプラパテなどで充填しておきます。 しかし、今回はエポキシパテで造形したので、｢気泡」の類は発生していません。かなり作業としては楽になっています。 Too, when seen in this way, the dent etc. was in about ten places. 左は以前にレストアしようとしたキット（製作は1982年）です。このように下部のダクトのパーツが艦体と密着しているのが気になります。 プラバンでパーツを延長して、このように開口部を広めに確保する予定です。 The left is the kit (manufacture is 1982) which was going to carry out the assembly again before. 主砲に関しては、ほぼオリジナルパーツを活かします。砲室の底には、プラバンで蓋をします。そして、砲身はやはり真鍮製品を流用します。「帝國海軍の36サンチ砲」を使用。 About a Main Gun, an original part is harnessed mostly. The bottom of a gun room is covered by the plastic board. And a barrel diverts a brassware product too. "36 Santee gun of the imperial navy" is used.
プラパイプをこのように接着し、砲身と砲室の接続点を確保しておきます。 A plastic pipe is pasted up in this way and the connecting point of a barrel and a gun room is secured.

しかし、完全自作は技術不足です。何かを流用することで対処します。候補は、「食玩」の「アルカディア号」の艦首部分と、あとは……いつも身につけている指輪です(⌒▽⌒シリアルナンバーは517/999)。 However, making himself completely is technically impossible. 大きさと、形状のバランスから、「フルタ」のものに決定。早速シリコンゴムの型を造る準備をはじめます。 It is decided from a size and the balance of form that it will be the thing of "Furuta." The preparation which builds the model of silicone rubber instantly is begun.
複製製作の作業は5〜6時間かかりました。なんとか複製に成功。しかし、このままでは、艦体に接着できません。余分なプラを削り落とす作業を行います。 The work of duplicate manufacture took 5 to 6 hours. It succeeds in a duplicate somehow. However, a hull cannot be pasted with this. The work which fails to delete an excessive portion is done.
パテで補修した後で、また耐水ペーパーで表面処理の作業を行いました。これで装甲などのスジボリを施します。 After repairing with putty, the surface treatment was worked by the waterproof paper. Panel lines, such as armoring, are carved now.
マスキングテープをガイドとして、既成のものを更に深く彫ります。 そして、新規の部分も多数ありますから……かなり緊張する場面です。 この作業は、まだしばらく時間を要します。 An established thing is carved still more deeply by considering a masking tape as a guide. Since there is a place into which it sculptures newly in addition to them considerably, troubles are suffered. This work still requires time for a while.
艦体に「不滅の紋章」を接着……。 キットのそのままの状態より、より荒々しく再現できたのではないかと思います。 作業している時間は、BGMはずっと「新ハーロック」のサントラです。以前に造っていたモデルの出来は、さきほどの写真を見てもらえば解るとおり、無様なものでした。 この「紋章」に魅入られて25年……あの頃よりは、マシなものが造ることが出来るようになったようです。 まだ、ほんの少し、ですが（＾＾；； An "eternal emblem" is pasted up on a hull .... I think that it will have reappeared more violently than the state as it is of a kit. BGM of the time which is working is the sound track of a "new Herlock" all the time. The result of the model which was being built before was a severe result as it was known, if I had a previous photograph seen. This "emblem" was fascinated and 25 years passed....
