今回から実験的に英語での文章を表示します。過去に、何度か英語のメールを受け取ったことがありましたが、先週までは、ウェブサイトを、海外でも見られるものにするという事をほとんど考えていませんでした。そのため、今回の制作は文章の翻訳と確認に時間を費やしました。普段よりも時間が掛かっています。英語が解りませんので、翻訳は、全てアプリケーションソフトで処理しています。今週は、「波動エンジン」の作業に取りかかりました。 The text in English is displayed from this time. ノズルは、グレートヤマトと同じ制作方法です。メインエンジンは、1/700キット(ヤマト)のパーツを、補助エンジンは、1/100「ファントム　(Ｆ４ＥＪ　タミヤ製)」のノズルを使います。テールコーンは、流用パーツを加工します。 A nozzle is the same work method as a Great-Yamato. The part of 1/700 kit (Space Battleship Yamato) is used for the main engine, and 1/100 "a phantom (F4EJ by TAMIYA)" of nozzles are used for auxiliary engine. A tail corn processes junk parts.

補助エンジンナセルは、アルカディア号の部品を使用。デスシャドウ製作では余ってしまう部品のため、ちょうど良かったです。しかし、長すぎるので短く切っています。 The auxiliary engine nacelle uses the parts of a Arcadia. It was good exactly because of the parts which remain in Death-Shade manufacture. However, since it is too long, it is cutting short.

艦底に、補助エンジンナセルを取りつけます。しかしその前に取りつけ部分の溝を加工します。前回同様、彫刻用の刃物で処理しています。しかし、グレートヤマトは、艦尾部分の多くを、ポリパテで作っていたのに比べ、今回はオリジナルパーツとエポキシパテの混合のため、かなり表面が固く、削るのに骨が折れました。 An auxiliary engine nacelle is attached in a ship's bottom. However, a slot is made before it. It is processing with the edged tool for sculpture last time similarly. However, compared with the Great-Yamato having made many of stern portions with poly putty, the surface was quite hard because of mixture of an original part and an epoxy putty, and it was tired from deleting this time.

削る処理が終わりました。もちろん削りながら何回かエンジンナセル部分を取りつけてみて、左右の位置を確認しています。この時点でメインエンジンノズルを接着します。そして、溝はこのパーツにも食いこんでくるので、更に彫っていきます。 The processing to delete finished. An engine-nacelle portion is attached several times with shaving, and the position on either side is checked. A main engine nozzle is pasted up at this time. And since a slot also reaches this part, it carves further.

補助エンジンナセルを船体に取りつけます。おおむね思っていたとおりの仕上がりになっていると思います。隙間には瞬間接着剤を流し込んでおき、乾燥するまで、しばらく放置しておきます。 An auxiliary engine nacelle is attached in a hull. I think that it is a result as considered mostly. The quick-drying glue is poured into the crevice, and it is left for a while until it dries.

船底のドーム部分は切り取っておいたのですが、それを接着します。元の位置は、エポキシパテが埋まって白くなっている部分です。かなり前方に移しています。グレートヤマトの姉妹艦ですが、全て同じではないようです。取りつけ位置は、かなり前になっています。 It is pasted up although the dome portion of a ship's bottom was cut off. The original position is the portion which an epoxy putty is buried and is white. It is moving quite ahead. It seems that it is not altogether the same although it is the sister warship of a Great-Yamato. The attachment position is quite a front.

同時造船中の２隻です。デスシャドウ号、クイーンエメラルダス号ともに進展なしです。次回はクイーンエメラルダスです。 It is two in simultaneous shipbuilding. A Death Shade and a Queen Emeraldas have no progress. A next diary report is a Queen Emeraldas.

グレートヤマトを製作している時は、私は手が動くままに作業をしていました。しかし、今回は、先に完成しているグレートヤマトと、ある程度均一にしなければならない部分があるため、慎重になっています。私は製作途中に何度もグレートヤマトの前に部品を持っていって、見比べます。さて、今回から英訳をしていますが、どの程度正確な英文なのか解りません(T▽T)。一応、入力した文章を英訳し、その英文を逆に日本語に翻訳して確認をしていますから、だいたいの意味は伝達出来ると思うのですが……こればかりは解りません。無責任ですが……。 While manufacturing the Great-Yamato, I was working as a hand moved.
